What is the level of automation adoption in Singapore today?
Many businesses have already started using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) but many are automating it by individual processes rather than approaching it from the larger perspective. If they have 22 processes, they will tackle the first two before moving on to the next.

What are the pitfalls to RPA?
The first is the failure to understand the diversity of processes. Secondly, many also have no definable goals for implementing RPA. Many are preoccupied with individual processes without taking a bird’s eye view. They fail to identify how a single process can fit into the entire end-to-end workflow to generate concrete benefits.
For example, client onboarding. There is data gathering and processing, invoicing, billing, tracking, contract agreement, etc. To only automate a single part would bear little fruit when compared to automating a set of processes that contribute to the overall process.
A third is the lack of expertise among IT teams to implement RPA.
